I'm not entirely sure if this is an issue or a feature request, so I'll file this as a feature request.
If a Discord user is commenting to an earlier reply, the replies work but the original context of the comment that's being replied to doesn't seem to work. ex:
The fact that edited messages do come through seems to imply there's potential for including the context of a comment being replied to. Thoughts?
As an aside, I'm now using the latest release currently which appears to be 6.1.0 presently.
Ah, curious this came up right as I was about to archive the repository.
I bring sad news, we deprecated use of this bot in our server in favor of a Matterbridge implementation as we were seeing problems at large scale with partial disconnects. Sometimes traffic will pass one way but not the other.
Matterbridge works fantastic for our needs, and has nearly all the features this bot did. We're still trying it out, but I recommend it as an alternative solution. It can include other chat platforms such as Matrix which was outside of the scope of this project.
Matterbridge has not solved reply context either AFAIK. I invite others to fork this project as I once did and begin adding the features you want, if able.
Closing this one out, the project is in a stable state and I don't plan to add new features myself.
We're so back, baby. Re-opening this as I'd like to add the feature when I can!
