There was a dig
C++ on Visual Studio 2010 SP1 (/Od /GL, LTCG link) compiling to byte-identical code for every piece of COGMIND.exe (Cogmind Beta 17.1).
Every function in src/ is verified against the real game
The Cogmind game exe is not included (resources/*.exe is git-ignored); buy the game to get started on the project here and support Kyzrati on Patreon to ensure the future of our beloved series.

0b10 extermination dispatch: an in-browser demo of how the Complex times and sends Programmer squads (the dispatch timer, exploration zones, entry points, search areas), driven by the matched code. Source in docs/demo/programmer-dispatch; locally, python3 -m http.server -d docs and open /demo/programmer-dispatch/. Robot tiles from Cog-Minder.
Outrun the Programmer: an exact pursuit–evasion solve on generated Cogmind maps. Explore winning regions, watch the solved strategy or play manually, scan speeds, and export an independently checkable escape certificate. The model has one perfect-information pursuer and fixed movement costs; it is not a proof of survival against actual squads or combat. The UI distinguishes sealed-arena results from whole-map escape proofs. Source in docs/demo/outrun; locally, python3 -m http.server -d docs and open /demo/outrun/. Verify a downloaded certificate with node docs/demo/outrun/solver.js verify file.json; run the isolated-position regression with node --test docs/demo/outrun/solver.test.js. Reuses the dispatch demo's generator, props, and robot tiles.
The melee-flight encounter film adds deterministic hidden-squad stress tests beside the unchanged exact solver. Flight moves cost 25; melee costs 100 with an optimistic one-hit squad kill. The player knows the primary Programmer's position, but only sees squads through line of sight and remembers past sightings. A director-only inset reveals hidden/scheduled units without feeding those positions to the controller. The authored two-member ambush compares blind, greedy-melee and adaptive play; these are finite observations, not multi-pursuer certificates or a reconstruction of real combat. Open /demo/outrun/film.html locally; run behavioral regressions with node --test docs/demo/outrun/solver.test.js docs/demo/outrun/encounter.test.js. Music is not bundled with the public site.
The -7 Factory field simulator drops a Materials-built flight Cogmind (13 slots: 1 power / 5 propulsion / 5 utility / 2 weapon, prototype flight units worn, non-prototype spares carried) into a full seeded -7 Factory on Rogue. The map, exits, extermination timer and dispatch come from the matched dispatch port; the initial population follows the native spawn code (golf_03.cpp, Overmind::spawnPatrolParty, haulers/watchers/civilians, selectRobotOfClass) with tables read from the exe, on Beta 17.1 robot and part data pinned from Cog-Minder. Robots keep Cogmind in memory for their memory stat in their own actions after losing sight, homing on its true position meanwhile (LA12AI::chase, EntityAI::takeTurn); an ECM Suite doubles that decay. Cogmind's speed uses the native movement formula, so lost flight units can tip the build overweight; robot accuracy uses the native ranged hit chance. The player policy sees only what Cogmind sees or scans, runs seeded machine errands, breaks contact when tracked, and leaves by the stairs. The page lists its remaining assumptions (no spot roll, known map layout, no criticals/heat/energy, no player attacks). Open /demo/outrun/field.html; regressions: node --test docs/demo/outrun/field.test.js.
